Lucknow: Students of Colvin Taluqdars’ College delivered an impressive performance at the CISCE Uttar Pradesh Zonal Taekwondo Championship 2026–27, bringing laurels to the institution by securing one gold, one silver, and four bronze medals across different weight categories.
The championship was held on June 29 and 30, 2026, at Lucknow Model Public School, Faridipur, Dubagga, with talented taekwondo athletes from various CISCE-affiliated schools across Uttar Pradesh competing in a spirited display of skill, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Leading the medal tally for Colvin Taluqdars’ College was Abu Huraira (Class XI-B), who clinched the Gold Medal with an outstanding performance in his weight category.
Harendra Kumar Pandey (Class VII-A) earned the Silver Medal, while Ashiki Khatoon (Class X-A), Devaj Chaurasia (Class XI-B), Yaseen Ishtiyaq (Class VIII-B), and Ayesha Ishtiyaq (Class XI-B) each secured Bronze Medals, reflecting the team’s consistent performance throughout the championship.
Ashmeen Khatoon (Class VI-A) also represented the college with enthusiasm and determination, gaining valuable competitive experience through her participation.

The team was coached by Arjun Chaudhary, while Ms. Ranjana Verma served as the Team Manager, providing guidance and support that contributed significantly to the team’s success.
In recognition of their achievements, the medal winners and participants were felicitated by Principal Shri Sachchidanand Singh, who congratulated the students on their outstanding performances and commended their discipline, confidence, and commitment to excellence. He also extended his best wishes for their continued success in future competitions.
